About the game

Pac-Man is the maze game that defined the arcade: eat every dot in the maze while four ghosts hunt you through it, and turn the tables for a few seconds whenever you reach a power pellet in the corners.

What keeps it alive nearly half a century later is that the ghosts are not random. Each one chases differently, and the maze has patterns you can learn.

How to play

• Arrow keys to move through the maze.
• Eat every dot to clear the level.
• Power pellets in the corners make the ghosts edible for a short window.

Tips

• The ghosts each have their own behaviour — Blinky chases directly, Pinky aims where you are going.
• Save a power pellet until ghosts are grouped, then take several at once.
• The tunnel on either side slows ghosts down but not you.
